"Best walking tour I've been on since starting my travels late last year. A very knowledgeable guide, great balance between a historical overview of the City, quirky facts unique to Bristol, and recommendations on where to go out/eat and drink. Well worth it if you're in Bristol for a week or even just a weekend."
"James has that rare ability to take a bunch of very different strangers and, through his personal warmth, good humour, extensive knowledge of Bristol and quick versatility, he soon creates a happy bunch of travellers keen to share his appreciation of a great city. One simple bit of advice to anyone thinking of joining James' tour: do."
"Great walking tour! I learned a lot about Bristol and I got to know the other tourists of the group. Besides the actual tour, James gives a lot of other recommendations on Bristol. The tour was fun! Thanks!"
"Great guide, a beautiful walk and plenty of both historical and modern knowledge. Bristol is a stunning city and I've got a few new places to visit thanks to the walk!"
"Absolutely brilliant walking tour today. Lasts about 2 hours. Guide very knowledgable and friendly. Brilliant for both Bristolians and those visiting our fantastic city"
"Even after studying in Bristol for 5 years, there were things that I would not have known if I did not join the tour! The tour was enjoyable, as James takes you through all the highlights in Bristol. James is such a friendly guide and enthusiastic about what he does. He is open to questions and gave recommendations as to other things to do in Bristol and places/restaurants that should not be missed out."
"Only had a day in Bristol and decided to go on this free walking tour last week with James. Had a great time. Got to see all the major sites within 2 hours. James is informative, funny, and very knowledgeable of all things Bristol. It was adorable that locals would walk by and say hello to him as he is a familiar face, since he does the tour rain or shine twice a day. Tour is free, but donations are accepted at the end of the tour, well worth it!"
"James was very professional, full of very interesting facts about Bristol and made the whole experience very fun at the same time! His free two hours flew by! He is very genuine and does his very best to add a personal touch to your interests and questions about Bristol. He certainly works very hard but makes it look like a breeze! I couldn't recommend his work ethic any higher. A must do if you're staying in Bristol. A great way to spend two hours of your trip - you'll be charmed and greatly informed about the highlights of the city."
"Having already been on the hop-on hop-off bus tour we thought we knew Bristol, but James impressed us with other facts about the city! Not only does he tell you about the places, the people who live there and any amazing stories, he also shows you pictures from his trusted green folder. I am really glad that James started providing the tour only a few months ago and that it has already grown to such a success. It is great to see someone using some entrepreneurial talent and providing such a great service. You must go on this tour if you visit Bristol, we loved it and I'm sure you will too! Keep up the great work James and good luck with everything."
"This tour was WONDERFUL. James, you have produced a beautiful walking tour, which was immensely helpful for an inexperienced solo traveller. I didn't even know WHY I visited Bristol until I stumbled across your tour! I highly recommend it as a solo female traveller, it's the best way to see the beautiful Bristol, James is simply an exceptional tour guide, friendly, informative and casual. I can not thank him enough for enriching my stay in Bristol!"
